Donna Foulk is a well-rounded researcher who is the only sociologist and anthropologist
combo in the bunch. She has a Bachelor’s in Sociology, from UMKC, and
a Master’s in Anthropology, from the University of Kentucky. Her two
specialties are aging and consumption, with a special focus on the symbolic
values of objects. Her thesis work focused on how products, as they move from
owner to owner are re-contextualized and re-valued.
Donna is as intrigued with daily life and consumption as one could be, even loving grocery shopping—for her it isn’t a chore but an amazing opportunity to watch people as they push grocery carts full of frozen vegetables, fruit juice, and plastic wrap. In Donna's spare time, she’s a junk peddler.
