Many of our projects, particularly large projects, use the web for communication and data dispersal. Anyone on the project, field workers and clients alike, can go on the web, type in their password, and see most everything about the project from fieldnotes, to transcripts, to phone numbers, even video clips and photos. Never before has a team of ethnographers, one that’s often scattered around the world, been able to see what’s going on in other field sites with as much clarity, ease, and speed. Clients and field crew are able to see the action unfold across the country or around the world from the comfort of their own office or living room.
